(SAPTCO) Saudi Collective Transportation Company Project:

SAPTCO building project is considered one of the distinctive projects where several planning, architectural and engineering specialties were used, in addition to the scope of works of the company which was including the construction facilities which are related to the buses such as workshops, administration buildings, services and utilities. The company desired to prepare a plan and design for its new head quarter on Hayer Road at South of Riyadh City on a land of 40 Hectors area a applying the requirements and needs of the company.

The Design Concept:
The design concept depended on the zones distribution to match the type of services and uses, this is in addition to satisfying the streaming of buses traffic which needs areas for movement and wide circulation.

The properties of the site were utilized by allocating the front part of it to the administration buildings while the rear part is allocated for buses parking. The middle portion is allocated to contract the workshops and supporting services. The provision of suitable environment to workers were considered also by the provision of suitable residences with commercial services, religious and entertainment facilities. The percentage of buildings were reduced to the least limit not exceeding 20% in an attempt to match with the conditions and guides of building percentage in these areas.
